| General Donations Family Connections is pleased to accept your monetary donations using cash or check, to make an donation. You may prefer to mail in your gift with our “eGiving Form.” You can click on the link, print out the form, complete it, and mail it in with your check. Honor and Memorial Giving Honor gifts and memorial gifts are thoughtful ways to remember family members, friends, and loved ones. Honor gifts do just that…honor important individuals in our lives. Memorial giving is a distinguished way to memorialize the life of a departed individual. Honor and memorial giving can be very satisfying because it is so practical. The gift honors or remembers the loved one and also becomes an investment in another’s life. Donations that you wish to designate as Honor or Memorial can be made to Family Connections in the same way as General Donations, found above. Designated Gifts Contributions, as described in General Donations, are always appreciated, and will be applied wherever the need is greatest. However, you may wish to designate your cash gift to a specific program or to a specific item that you know is needed by our organization. If this is the case, please specify the special purpose for your donation and we will use your contribution for this purpose only. Matching Gifts, Stocks/Bonds, Planned Gifts Your employer may have a matching gift program for employees’ charitable contributions. If so, your contribution to Family Connections can be doubled. Donating stocks and/or mutual funds may result in savings on capital gains and you may also be able to take an income tax deduction for the full market value. You will need to consult your financial advisor. Including Family Connections in your will or other estate planning may help you maximize your charitable contributions as well as providing other tax benefits. Again, you will need to see your financial advisor or estate planning specialist. |
